Bike Lanes and Trails
Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes have several miles of bike lanes and an off-road bike trails. Street signs and road paint are placed along the bike lane to alert motorists to the increased presence of cyclists. Cyclists must continue to obey all traffic and safety laws while riding in bike lanes.
Regional Bike & Pedestrian Plan
South Central Planning & Development Commission is working with local parishes to make the streets in our region safer and more accessible to all users including pedestrians, cyclists, children, the elderly and the disabled. The Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan is a first step in this effort, and can be viewed here.
