South Louisiana Transit

a guide to living car-free in South Louisiana

About the Committee

The Regional Transit Committee meets quarterly and is comprised of transit providers, transit riders, MPO staff members, and other transportation professionals. The meetings are designed to facilitate coordination among transportation providers, and to identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiency.  The locally developed Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (CHSTP) serves as a guide for this committee.

These meetings meet FTA and DOTD requirements to ensure that New Freedom, JARC, Elderly and Disabled, and Rural Transportation programs be derived from a coordinated plan developed through an inclusive process.

Information on upcoming meetings, as well as all meeting minutes, can be found on the HTMPO webpage.

All meetings are open to the public. If you need special accommodations, please call 985 851-2900 to make arrangements.
